Activate to Build its First Offshore Development Centre in Indonesia

Singapore, 8 November 2022 – Activate Interactive Pte. Ltd (“Activate”) and CSI Interfusion Singapore (“CSI”), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (“MOU”) on 30 September 2022, to bring CSI’s Smart City Solutioning to Singapore and Indonesia alongside building an Offshore Development Centre (“ODC”) in Indonesia by Activate.
Activate will partner CSI on Smart City Solutioning and related platforms, to work and coordinate with CSI to support the platforms in Singapore and Indonesia. Activate will also establish its first ODC in Indonesia to support CSI’s local solutions services.
CSI, on the other hand, will provide resources in Malaysia and China to Activate for Application Development and Maintenance (ADM) projects or similar needs. CSI will also augment expertise and support to Activate in Singapore and Indonesia.
Both companies will also collaborate to provide technical documentation, briefings, technical, system support, project consultation and management services for the purposes of facilitating any integration with clients.
As of 2021, Singapore topped the IMD-SUTD Smart City Index for the third year running. The Smart City Index considers input from the city residents on how technology improved their lives; about 120 residents from each city were surveyed.¹ Similarly, Indonesia is moving its capital to East Kalimantan on Borneo where it plans to build a green and smart city putting the administrative centre of Southeast Asia’s largest economy where it could help drive the subregion’s development and growth.²
