Activate Raises More Than $10,000 for SOS Through Its Inaugural CSR Campaign
Singapore, 7 October 2021 – Singapore’s leading IT solution and service provider, Activate Interactive Pte Ltd, organises its inaugural corporate social responsibility (CSR) campaign, ReAct for SOS, between August and September 2021.Through the concerted efforts of all employees, Activate raises a total of $10,895 for SOS, surpassing the target of $10,000 in support of the Samaritans of Singapore (SOS).
As a Platinum Partner of the #HOWRU Virtual Walkathon, signature fundraiser of SOS, 35 staff of Activate, Actxa Pte Ltd and Actxa Wellness Pte Ltd, sister companies of Activate, volunteered to join the Walkathon to stand in solidarity with people in crisis.
Together as one Activate, the 35 volunteers clocked a total of 3,658,298 steps for the Walkathon held between 12 September to 18 September 2021, exceeding their target of three million steps. Activate also emerged as the first among the Team category for the Walkathon.
The volunteers also participated in the Actxa Corporate Challenge between 5 September to 18 September 2021 by clocking steps using the Actxa fitness trackers. To raise more funds for SOS, Activate pledges $5 to SOS for every volunteer who hit 10,000 to 12,249 steps a day and $10 for every volunteer who clocks more than 12,250 steps a day for the Challenge. After two weeks of walking in the day and at night, the volunteers raised a total of $3,655 through the Challenge.
As part of our commitment to building a culture of giving and volunteering, Activate has also doubled the impact of the contributions made through the Giving.sg donation portal with a dollar-to-dollar corporate matching, donating a total of $7,240 to support the works of SOS on suicide prevention, intervention and postvention.
